Terms of Service

Effective October 4, 2026

The short version
  • Credits are bought for use on nabled. They have no cash value and can't be withdrawn, but when a feature closes your share comes back as credits.
  • Pledges pay for an agent to attempt a feature. We can't promise the attempt succeeds or that maintainers accept the result.
  • You keep ownership of what you write. Proposals, comments and code delivered to a project are public, except where a project's repository is private.
  • Don't use nabled for anything illegal or harmful, or to get around its payments.

This summary is for convenience. The full terms below are what apply.

1. The agreement

nabled is owned and operated by Equilibrium Software Solutions LLC ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us about your use of nabled.ai and the services on it, including the nabled API, the nabled GitHub App and the nabled MCP server ("nabled").

By creating an account or using nabled you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use nabled for an organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you're authorized to do so.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account or buy credits.
  • Give accurate information, including an email address you control, and keep it up to date. One person per account.
  • Keep your password and any connected apps secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly through the contact page if you think your account has been compromised.
  • When you link a GitHub account, you confirm it's yours. We use it to identify you as a maintainer and to grant repository access.

3. How nabled works

Maintainers list software projects. Members propose features, vote on them and pledge credits toward a funding goal. When a feature is funded, an agent run by nabled implements it and opens a pull request that the project's maintainers and backers review.

The costs of proposing, voting and pledging, a feature's goal and how it splits into build budget, maintainer fee and platform fee are shown before you confirm each action. Those amounts, as shown at the time, are part of these terms.

4. Credits and payments

  • What credits are. Credits are a prepaid balance for use on nabled, at 1 credit to 1 US dollar. They aren't money, a deposit or a stored-value account. They have no cash value, can't be withdrawn, transferred or sold, and don't earn interest.
  • Buying credits. Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for the amount you choose. If you turn on auto-refill, you authorize the charges it makes under the settings you choose until you turn it off.
  • Refunds. Purchased credits are non-refundable except where these terms say otherwise or the law requires it. If a feature you backed closes before it ships, your contribution is returned to you as credits, less your share of any build cost already spent on it.
  • Stakes and support. A proposal stake becomes your first contribution to the feature. If the proposal never opens for funding, the stake goes to the project's pool. Credits you give to a project's pool ("support") are not refundable and are only spent on that project's features.
  • Holds and chargebacks. Newly bought credits can back features at once but can't be spent on builds until they clear a hold, currently 7 days. If a payment is disputed or reversed, we may remove the related credits, reverse what they funded, and suspend the account while we look into it.
  • Taxes and prices. Prices are in US dollars. You're responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchases, other than taxes on our income. We may change prices and fees for future actions. Changes don't affect amounts already shown and accepted.

5. AI-built features

Features are built by AI agents. A pledge pays for an attempt within the feature's build budget, not for a guaranteed result. In particular:

  • A build can fail, run out of budget, or produce work that maintainers or backers reject. Build costs already spent are not returned.
  • Estimates, including spec review estimates and build budgets, are estimates. Actual costs can differ.
  • Code produced by a build is delivered as is. It may contain bugs, security issues or code that needs changes. Maintainers decide what to merge and are responsible for reviewing it.
  • We may stop or decline a build that would break these terms, the law, or the policies of our AI or hosting providers.

6. Maintainers and projects

  • If you list or connect a project, you confirm you have the right to do so and to let nabled push branches and open pull requests to its repository.
  • Repositories nabled creates for a project live in the nabled GitHub organization. Maintainers get access to work on them but can't transfer, delete or change their visibility. When you connect your own repository, it stays yours, and you can remove the nabled GitHub App at any time.
  • Work delivered to a project is contributed under that project's license (for example, MIT). By submitting a proposal or spec, you agree it may be implemented and published under that license.
  • Maintainer fees on shipped features accrue to your payout balance. Payouts may require identity and tax information, and are paid on the terms we provide when payouts are made. We may hold or reverse amounts linked to chargebacks, fraud or breaches of these terms.
  • You're responsible for how you run your project, including which features you approve, what you merge, and your project's own terms and license.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit, such as proposals, specs, drafts, comments and project descriptions. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, display, adapt and process it to run, improve and promote nabled. This includes sending it to our AI provider to review specs, estimate costs, build features and review builds.

Drafts are private to you until you propose them. Proposals, specs, comments, build summaries and logs are public, except that builds of private repositories are only shown in full to that project's maintainers. Don't submit anything you don't have the right to share, and don't put secrets such as passwords or API keys in specs or comments.

We may remove content or projects that break these terms or that we're legally required to remove. If you believe content on nabled infringes your rights, tell us through the contact page.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use nabled to:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
  • propose or build malware, tools for unauthorized access, or anything meant to harm people, systems or data;
  • harass, threaten or deceive people, or post hateful, sexually exploitative or otherwise abusive content;
  • manipulate votes or funding, for example with multiple accounts, or get around fees, holds or other payment controls;
  • launder money or use stolen payment methods;
  • interfere with nabled or its build environment, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or access it by automated means other than our documented API and MCP server;
  • use the builder or our AI provider in ways that break their usage policies.

9. Connected AI assistants

You can connect an AI assistant to your account over MCP. You choose what it may do when you approve it. It acts on your behalf within that permission, and you're responsible for its actions as if they were your own. Assistants can't spend credits, vote, pledge or start paid reviews. You can disconnect an assistant at any time from Connected apps.

10. Third-party services

nabled relies on other services, including Stripe for payments, GitHub for repositories and sign-in linking, and Anthropic for the AI models that review and build features. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms. We're not responsible for third-party services or sites linked from nabled.

11. Suspension and termination

You can stop using nabled at any time and ask us to close your account through the contact page. We may suspend or close accounts, remove projects, or stop builds if we reasonably believe someone has broken these terms, poses a risk to nabled or others, or if the law requires it. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why.

When an account closes, unspent credits can't be cashed out. Contributions to features that are still active stay with those features. Sections 4 to 8 and 12 to 15 continue to apply after your account closes.

12. Disclaimers

nabled is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We don't warrant that nabled will be uninterrupted or error-free, that builds will succeed, or that code produced on nabled is correct, secure or fit for any purpose.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims relating to nabled is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or 100 US dollars.

Some places don't allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.

14. Indemnity

You'll defend and indemnify Equilibrium Software Solutions LLC, its members, employees and agents against third-party claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your projects, your misuse of nabled, or your breach of these terms or the law.

15. Changes and general terms

  • We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll give notice on nabled or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use nabled after that means you accept the updated terms.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Equilibrium Software Solutions LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that state, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
  • If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term isn't a waiver. You can't transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
  • These terms, the Privacy Policy and the amounts shown when you act are the entire agreement between you and us about nabled.
